Credit reports are important to know where you stand coming out of prison and let you know if someone stole your identity while inside. You can request a free copy of your credit report from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion from the federal government mandated website AnnualCreditReport.com. Be sure to NOT sign up for any additional items these companies will try to add on as they'll result in monthly charges that are hard to stop.
